Giving—This gift equips one to regularly give in generous fashion of one’s financial resources. An example of leading through giving would be helping support a missionary family out of one’s own means (Mt. 8:3).
Individuals with the gift of giving have a special ability to contribute their financial resources to the work of the church with exceptional generosity and a heart focused on God and others. Here are ways they can serve in church ministries:

- Missionary Support: They can provide regular financial support to missionaries or sponsor specific mission projects, helping to further the reach of the gospel.
- Benevolence Funds: Contribute to or manage a benevolence fund to assist members of the church and community who are in financial need.
- Building Projects: Financially support church building or renovation projects, allowing the church to enhance its facilities for ministry and community outreach.
- Sponsorship Programs: Sponsor children or families through church-run programs that provide education, medical care, or basic necessities.
- Ministry Budget Support: Commit to funding a certain aspect of the church budget, such as youth ministry activities, worship team equipment, or outreach events.
- Stewardship Education: Teach or lead workshops on biblical stewardship and generosity, encouraging others to give and manage their resources wisely.
- Seed Money for New Ministries: Offer seed money to start new ministries or support innovative ideas within the church that align with its vision and mission.
- Emergency Relief: Be available to provide immediate financial assistance in times of crisis, such as natural disasters or personal tragedies within the church body.
- Matching Gifts: Encourage giving in others by offering matching gifts for certain donations or projects, effectively doubling the impact of the giving.
