In a shocking story, Steve Harvey accidentally crowned Miss Columbia as Miss Universe, when it should have been Miss Philippines! After having been told that she had won and after she had been crowned, Miss Columbia had to watch in shock and humiliation as she had her crown taken off her head and taken away.
In contrast, note these words from the apostle Peter about the crown of life that Christians will receive when Christ returns: "4 And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away" (1 Peter 5:4). Are you not glad that our crown cannot be taken away?
